Trees are Cool Program
The billion tree campaign is a program from the United Nations whose goal is to plant a billion trees worldwide. With the effects of global warming many people are wondering how they can contribute. This campaign gives every community, school, government organization and individual an opportunity to do something for the cause....plant a tree. It's easy to get involved, pledge a tree and plant it. For more information abought the campaign and how to pledge go to www.unep.org. All you do is type in your name and address and that you pledge to take care of this tree.

- How trees can help? One tree will absorb CO2 from 4 cars, every year.
- A healthy tree cools the air equivalent to 10 room-sized air conditioners operating 20 hours a day.
- Trees can add up to 15% to residential property values.

Recycle
DeWaynes would like to do our share in helping cut down on plastic in the landfills. We encourage you to bring back your empty tree and shrub pots and annual flower pots. We guarantee that they will be reused. We can not accept other plastic products.
New For 2009- DeWayne's Tree Farm
We are a tree farm, a grower of larger trees and shrubs. We do not clear out our inventory at the end of the season like many of the big box stores. Rather we will continue to stock trees and shrubs right up until the ground freezes in the fall and we will continue to grow our inventory and repot into larger containers for the next year. We do not grow our trees in the ground or burlap but in large nursery pots so that it is much easier for the home owner to plant their own larger trees. You do not need a skidsteer to move most of the trees we have in stock. Some of our trees we have in stock we have grown in pots at our nursery for more than 5-6 years. Instead of ordering bareroot trees every spring the older trees have time to develop a strong root system that is better able to gather water and nutrients after planting.
We do not sell tree seedlings. Most of our trees are at least 1 inch diameter trunk and at least ten feet tall, except for a few ornamental varieties that stay small.
Deciduous Trees in Stock for 2011

Plant a Tree, In Memory of.....
Planting a tree in memory of a beloved family member or friend is perhaps the most fitting memorial of all. In the days and years to come the trees you plant will live, grow, blossom, and carry on the names of those memorialized.
Purchase a gift card for a chosen amount to be used toward any tree in stock. A second certificate (suitable for framing) stating that a living memorial has been reserved in the memory of the deceased will be displayed at the memorial service accompanied by a single vased rose.
